ALTAIR HPC (High Performance Computer) of University Abu Bekr Belkaïd Tlemcen:

- Altair: From an apparent magnitude 0.77, Altair is the twelfth brightest star in the celestial vault. Located about 17 light years from Earth, Altair is one of the closest stars visible to the bare eye. It is a white star class A7, about two times greater than the sun but 10 times brighter. What characterizes it is its extremely rapid rotation: it requires 6.5 to 10 hours (estimated) making a full turn, where the Sun takes more than 25 days.

- The name Altair comes from the Arabic al-al-Nisr Ta'ir (النسر الطائر) which means "the flying eagle".

- The HPC of the University Abu Bekr Belkaïd Tlemcen has the name of Altair, The BULL Company is the supplier.

The ALTAIR HPC of the University Abou Bekr Belkaïd Tlemcen was funded as part of the FNR funding by the General Directorate for Scientific Research and Technological Development of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The HPC was installed in the University Abou Bekr Belkaïd Tlemcen in downtown pole by the company ICE
